What is Yoga Month, Yoga Week, and Yoga Life Fair?
What is Yoga Life Fair? Yoga Week? Yoga Month?
Kick off a week of Free Yoga with Yoga Life Fair. Raise awareness and feed the hungry with your yoga practice during both Hunger Action Month & Yoga Month in September. During Yoga Month, there are many yoga events that receive donations for Feeding the Gulfcoast. These events are free but instructors ask you to donate cash or canned food. Monetary donations are best. $1= 5 meals
Yoga Life Fair is the main event that kicks off Yoga Week, a week of by donation yoga classes offered by participating studios. You’ll find the “Events” tab at the top of the website that lists participating studios for Yoga Week, Yoga Month Events, and Yoga Life Fair details.
The main event, the Yoga Life Fair with local yoga teachers and businesses takes place in the park next to the Fairhope Pier unless needing to use the rain location at the Fairhope United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center, due to weather. Yoga Life Fair has vendor booths for purchasing “mindful” natural or locally made products, music, performances, raffle prizes, food from local healthy businesses and many mini-workshop group practice for all ages, body types, and interests.
Find out more about the Yoga Fair in the “Yoga Life Fair” tab. There are many ways to get yourself or your business involved with Yoga Month. You can volunteer. We need many volunteers to set-up or organize the event!
Volunteers can help set up the day of or make calls or put up flyers before the event. More volunteers help to keep expenses low & we can have more to donate toward feeding the hungry.
Your business has many opportunities to be involved, even if it isn’t a yoga studio. You could have a booth at the Fair, donate raffle or auction items, take food donations at your place of business throughout September, become a sponsor, provide products or services needed for the events, or even offer a discount to your customers in exchange for food donations. Also, the more involved your business with the event, the more publicity you get through the flyers, website, social media and advertisements.
Contact us if you are interested in volunteering or asking about options for your business! The more the merrier!
