Fair Class Descriptions

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

Group Practice* – An all-levels 30 minute group warm-up practice with general information for beginners. Deep breathing and gentle postures to help open and relax the body, and calm the mind.

Kids Yoga- Teach kids to be active, relieve stress, and think in positive ways through this FUN and joyous practices! New expanded kid’s section with mindful crafts, face paint, and even a clown! Bring your baby in the sling Grooviroo dancing too!
Arm Balancing- Arm balances are really leg squeezes. Incorparate your whole body, arms, legs, core and breathing to balance on your hands in different postures.
Contemporary Dance Combo- Move with your breath while incorporating multiple dance genre’s movements into your practice.
Crystal Bowl Sound bath- Crystal Bowls are used for sound healing. Each bowl is tuned to the chakras the combination of all vibrations will leave you balanced and refreshed with more open energy channels and a higher frequency.
Paddleboard yoga (demos and trials- weather permitting)- A combination of surfing and yoga, if you will, paddle board yoga is known for giving the body a “core” workout because of the added challenge of having to maintain one’s balance while performing yoga poses. Come prepared to get wet if you are trying paddleboard yoga. Class cancelled if at rain location.
Power Yoga- Move with the breath in a more challenging flow with the breath to awaken your body and strengthen your muscles and spine.

Thai Massage/Partner Yoga- Partner Yoga utilizes principles of individual posture while incorporating the presence of another to deepen the experience in a posture. Thai Yoga Bodywork is assisted stretching, palm pressing, and feet pressing that leaves the receiver feeling equally calm and energized.

Yin Yoga –Yin Yoga works the deeper levels of the body/heart/mind: the connective tissues of the ligaments, fascia, joints and bones and the energetic channels of the meridians, nerves and blood system.

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)*- This inspired, meditative practice requires nothing of you but to lie down and listen. Be supported, held, and nourished as you discover profound peace and vibrant health!

Vinyasa Flow- Yoga poses are intricately linked with the body to the breath. In Vinyasa yoga, the breath fuels one posture into the next creating a fluidity of movement and rhythm. Students are invited to connect with their breath in an intimate way and engage deeply into each yoga posture.

Slackline Yoga- This practice integrates the balance of slacklining with the postures of yoga in a fun, challenging way. Try to balance, sit, stand, or walk on the loose 1″ line a couple feet from the ground. (The Slackline will be out, weather permitting, with no instructor this year.) 

*These workshops will provide chair yoga modifications. Sit in the chair instead of on the ground or use the chair during balance positions.
